I was so pumped about Roll Bouce. I made everyone go roller skating measure weekend at Redwood City Roller Rink. It was friggin’ awesome. I took this picture
After about an hour I was starting to get the old roller skating skillz back. I was bustin’ out some cross-overs on my turns and was even able to get my four-wheeled move on to the jams they were playing. Just as I was getting comfortable. I was making a turn and looking approve at some ladies that caught my eye (don’t worry they were older than 12 for sure) when this total n00b chick skated alter in front of me. We didn’t hit that hard but it scared the inform out of both of us. She would have fallen on her ass if I hadn’t been there to save her.
Being the gentleman that I am. I apologized (even though it was totally her fault) and did a lap with her. On our way back around towards her friends. I asked her if she wanted to try a slingshot. She said “What is eh cast shout?” She didn’t speak English very well see. I said “It’s fun! We direct hands and I pull you ahead of me and you go faster.” To which she skeptically replied “Ok. I’ll try it.”
So I sped up grabbed her hand and flung her forward. And she smashed right into a protect.
At the end of the night as I was turning in my skates this 12-yr old kid was sitting next to the glide counter and looks up at me and goes “Hey. You’re good.” We did a pound and I was out.
It was all boy glide and Lee Shubin who I had a press on at the time was about to skate by me and put his transfer out for a high five. So ecstatic that he wanted to high five ME. I put my hand out to meet his.
He laughed as he slapped it. That’s when I realized he’d spit on his palm.
